1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact information: name, email address, and communications you send us
- Waitlist and onboarding responses: answers to qualification questions and preferences you submit
- Account information: login credentials and profile details when you create an application account
- Business context: information you enter about your business, clients, projects, or workflows
- Payment information: billing details processed by our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers on our servers)
Information from connected services
If you connect third-party accounts to Salt (such as email, calendar, payments, CRM, or messaging tools), we receive data made available through those integrations according to the permissions you grant. You control which connections you enable and can disconnect them in the product.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URLs, and interaction events
- Cookies and similar technologies: used for authentication, preferences, analytics, marketing, and security. Non-essential cookies (including analytics and live chat) load only after you consent. See our Cookie Policy for details and to change your preferences at any time.
AI-related processing
Salt may process your business data and connected-account data using automated systems, including machine learning models operated by Salt or subprocessors, to generate summaries, recommendations, drafts, and proposed actions. We process this data to provide the Service, not to train public models on your identifiable business content unless we tell you otherwise and you opt in.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Operate the website, waitlist, and application
- Send waitlist confirmations, early-access invitations, and product updates you request or that relate to your account
- Provide AI-assisted features and approval workflows
- Process subscriptions and payments
- Secure the Service, prevent fraud, and enforce our terms
- Analyze usage to improve reliability and product experience
- Comply with law and respond to lawful requests
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with:
- Service providers that help us operate Salt (hosting, email delivery, analytics, customer support, payment processing, and AI infrastructure)
- Integration partners when you connect third-party services and authorize data exchange
- Professional advisors (lawyers, accountants) under confidentiality obligations

We use trusted vendors to run Salt, including providers for:

Waitlist data is retained until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or the waitlist program ends. You may request deletion of your account data as described below.

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete certain information
- Export your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based

Salt is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided us personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice such as email or in-product messaging.
